Analysis of a Methanogen and an Actinobacterium Dominating the Thermophilic Microbial Community of an Electromethanogenic Biocathode
Electromethanogenesis refers back to the bioelectrochemical synthesis of methane from CO2 by biocathodes. In an electromethanogenic system utilizing thermophilic microorganisms, metagenomic evaluation together with quantitative real-time polymerase chain response and fluorescence in situ hybridization revealed that the biocathode microbiota was dominated by the methanogen Methanothermobacter sp. pressure EMTCatA1 and the actinobacterium Coriobacteriaceae sp. pressure EMTCatB1. RNA sequencing was used to match the transcriptome profiles
